‘Little Southbank’

Yaringa Marina Restaurant, is the centre-piece of Yaringa’s own ‘Little Southbank’, a small waterside promenade overlooking boats and across the Bay to French Island & Phillip Island.

Offering waterfront dining at its very best the recently refurbished Yaringa Marina Restaurant is the jewel in the crown of Yaringa’s attractions for residents and Peninsula visitors alike. Regular patrons from near and afar praise it as a restaurant of the very highest quality.

With its magnificent waterfront location, comfortable new lounge-bar and new sophisticated dining setting, Yaringa Marina Restaurant is more popular than ever with lovers of delicious food and affordable local wines. The Restaurant is open for lunch & dinner all year round (7 days a week in summer) and bookings are strongly advised ( phone 5977 3735 ).

The easiest way to get to get there is to take Bungower Road from the Westernport Freeway towards Westernport Bay following the Marina signs. (Melway Map 149 K7)

When you arrive you’ll find the staff friendly and the service outstanding. You can enjoy a pre-lunch or pre-dinner drink taking in the views from the balcony or the new lounge/bar. If you prefer you can to go straight to your table and order an exciting cocktail, a chilled Australian or imported beer or spirits. Wine is available by the glass or bottle from an extensive wine list. Nominated as one of the Peninsula’s premier restaurants Yaringa is listed in The Age Good Food Guide and is widely acclaimed for its outstanding food and service.

The menu is modern eclectic offering a wide choice of delicious entrees and superb mains including seafood, fish of the day, pasta of the day, beef, lamb, veal and vegetarian dishes. Be sure to leave some room for deserts as they are absolutely stunning.

If you find it hard to decide which dishes to choose, Maitre’d Yves Bauer can assist with recommendations to suit your taste and appetite as he moves between the tables in his charming and unobtrusive manner. Trained in Switzerland Yves came to Yaringa from the Melbourne Oyster Bar and formerly managed Benitos in Mt Eliza. He will also help match your meals that have been meticulously prepared and presented by Head Chef Claire Kearns-Smale and her professional kitchen staff, with appropriate wines that will complement the style and flavours of your food. Claire was trained in New Zealand and joined the Yaringa staff in 2004 coming from The Rocks in Mornington where she was Sous Chef.

Air Conditioning, afternoon sea breezes and a waterfront setting add to the pleasure of eating out at Yaringa Marina Restaurant. Balcony dining for lunch is a delightful option in summer while a cosy log fire adds warmth and atmosphere for winter dining.

To book for lunch or dinner all year round call Yves on 5977 3735.
